La Fiera achieves its third victory of the 2025 Clausura, beating Rebaño with a double from Cádiz. Chivas suffered its second defeat in four games.

LEÓN -- León has had a perfect start in the Clausura 2025. The emerald team passed the test against one of the greats of Mexican soccer. 'La Fiera' achieved its third victory of the tournament, beating Chivas 2-1 , with a double from Jhonder Cádiz , to reach nine points, with a pending duel against Pachuca.

The team from León did damage very quickly , with another impactful appearance by James Rodríguez . The captain of the emerald team took a free kick from the right side at 14'. The ball from the Colombian reached the second post, with Jhonder Cádiz arriving and beating Raúl Rangel with a header.

The game was stopped for a long time in the 27th minute due to an altercation between Nicolás Fonseca and coach Óscar García, which ended with the Guadalajara coach being sent off . Moments later, referee Óscar Mejía went to the VAR to correct the penalty call in favor of the visitors, after Salvador Reyes had successfully cleared the ball from Hugo Cambero inside the area with a precise tackle.

Chivas reacted before the break with a great collective play. Erick Gutiérrez sent a pass from the left to Mateo Chávez in the 42nd minute , the youngster entered the area and passed diagonally to Yael Padilla , who scored the equalizer.

Chivas tried again to get close to the opponent's goal in an attempt to tie the score. Javier Hernández came on as a substitute along with Cade Cowell and Armando González; the three combined to create danger.
